Newsroom
Dear Families:
With the Colorado State Board of Education’s decision to uphold the non-renewal of the CHPA charter contract, we are writing with information regarding enrollment options in Pueblo District 60 for your consideration. We would welcome the opportunity to partner with you for your child’s education and are committed to supporting all students in our community. Below are steps you may take to explore District 60 enrollment options for your child.
Find Your Neighborhood School
To determine your child’s assigned neighborhood school, please follow any of these steps:
- Call our Student Support Services office: Student Support Services staff are available to answer your questions and help with enrollment. Call (719) 253-6014 for support.
- Call a school near to your home: Staff at each school are available to help you identify your child’s neighborhood school. Contact information for each school is available on our website. Click the Schools link at the top right of the homepage.
- Look up school boundaries on our district website: The school boundaries page includes a variety of maps that will allow you to see which schools are in your area.
Enrollment Process
Pueblo District 60 provides a number of ways to enroll your student:
Contact your neighborhood school: If you are interested in attending your neighborhood school, you may choose to contact them directly. School-based staff will be able to help you enroll your student. They will let you know what information you will need to submit for enrollment, along with sharing with you information about open houses, school tours, or other events that can introduce you to the school community.
Contact the Student Support Services office: You may also enroll by contacting the Student Support Services office directly at 719-253-6014 or by visiting them at the Administrative Services Center, located at 315 West 11th Street. This method is especially helpful during the summer months when school offices may be closed.
Complete a Choice application: If you are interested in your child attending a Pueblo District 60 school that is not your neighborhood school, please complete a choice application, which can be found on our D60 website. Please remember that though we will always work to accommodate your request, enrollment in a school outside of your neighborhood school is subject to space availability.
Support and Resources
We understand that this is a challenging time for you and your family. Please call us at (719) 253-6014 to speak with a member of our team. Thank you for your interest in partnering with District 60 for your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Barbara R. Kimzey, Ed.D.

As the "go-to" person in our buildings, a secretary must be well-versed in all aspects of a school's operation. This requires great attention to detail, fantastic organizational skills, and the ability to multitask, often under great pressure.
